Air travelers will have access to complimentary Wi-Fi at Lagos and Abuja airports– Keyamo
Vanguard reports that air passengers traveling through Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) in Abuja can now enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi services. This update was confirmed by Mr. Tunde Moshood, the Special Assistant to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, on Sunday. Moshood also mentioned ongoing plans to extend free Wi-Fi services to other airports across the country, aligning with Minister Keyamo’s agenda to enhance airport infrastructure nationwide. According to Moshood, both local and international travelers can now stay connected and browse the web seamlessly at these airports. He emphasized the convenience this brings to passengers, enabling them to enjoy entertainment options like music streaming and downloading their favorite shows from platforms like Netflix. This move addresses previous challenges attributed to bureaucratic hurdles between the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), as resolved by Minister Keyamo, who allocated Wi-Fi provision to NAMA. Keyamo further highlighted ongoing discussions with international firms to introduce in-flight Wi-Fi, aiming to enhance passenger connectivity during flights in line with global aviation standards.
